Multi-Agent Contradictory Objective Function Lab
For living systems, climate transformation, AI agency, and value conflicts beyond the human frame.
Institutional Problem
The Multi-Agent Contradictory Objective Function Lab develops methods from The Butterfly Entangled Effect for situations where human, ecological, biological, technological, and planetary value systems act on one another.
Research Focus
The Multi-Agent Contradictory Objective Function Lab begins where value can no longer be understood as a human social question alone.
The Butterfly Entangled Effect places living material, ice, climate imagination, AI-mediated systems, and spectatorship into one conceptual field. In this field, value is not held by one agent. It emerges through tensions among survival, exposure, aesthetic form, machine decision, public attention, and planetary change.
The lab studies how artistic systems can stage value conflict among multiple agents. It is especially concerned with contradictory objective functions: situations where different forms of value cannot be satisfied by a single measure.
