Multi-Value Decision-Making Lab

A live experimental format for making value trade-offs visible before they become metrics, policies, budgets, or institutional decisions.

Institutional Problem

The Multi-Value Decision-Making Lab develops methods from Post Capitalistic Auction for testing how people and institutions make trade-offs among competing values under real constraints.

Research Focus

The Multi-Value Decision-Making Lab begins from Post Capitalistic Auction, but it does not repeat the artwork. It extracts a method from it.

PCA showed that when participants are placed inside a carefully designed auction with multiple currencies, they reveal more than preferences. They reveal what they are willing to sacrifice, what they protect, what they overvalue, what they ignore, and how rules shape their behaviour.

The lab develops two lines of work: Post Capitalistic Art Award and Post Capitalistic Protocol.

Post Capitalistic Art Award is a future institutional form for recognizing artistic value through plural forms of contribution, commitment, and public justification.

Post Capitalistic Protocol develops PCA into a transferable method for institutions that need to recognize, compare, and allocate values that cannot be reduced to money, metrics, or votes.
